I thought of making a mini album of my nephew Asti's baby photos which his Dad Clarence could put in his wallet and bring anywhere with him.
First off, you'll need the following materials:
PVC Glue
Ruler
Cutting Board
Cutter or Scissors
Old Calendar ~ to be used as the book cover
Acrylic Yarn ~ for tying the book together
Silver Paper ~ to cover the book cover :D
So I printed these 6 adorable pictures of Asti on plain paper so the length is more or less 12 inches since each photo is 1.5" wide and 2" long with a little gap between them. |
When cutting the strip, leave a little gap in between each photo to make a some sort of border. You'll need that border for the folds of the accordion.
So now you can start folding. You really don't have to leave a blank page like I did. That's just a result of my miscalculation :) |
Folded! |
Position the book cover on the silver paper then punch 2 holes on each side for the yarn to pass through |
Thread the yarn through the punched holes |
Make sure that only the two ends of the yarn are protruding out of the 2 holes. This will become the ribbon tie for the book.
Glue the book cover on the silver paper, sandwiching the yarn in between them |
Now do the same on the other book cover only without the yarn.
The glue made the cover kinda messy but it was okay because this part would be covered by the pictures anyway |
Now stick the photos on to the book covers
Now that messy glue will be covered by the photos :) |
Done!
The minibook closed... |
